sage colour happy cup

$88.00 Sold Out

Originally destined for an exhibition, I have made the decision to make these available through my online store due to popular request. A small delicate cup to enjoy as an art piece or to drink tea from.

Finely crafted from Australian porcelain, this cup has nerikomi layers of coloured porcelain and various stoneware clays inlayed through its walls. Sourced from local volcanic clays of Tamborine Mountain, these cups are some of the first from this collection and an art piece in themselves.

Each cup is hand crafted by Larissa in her studio based on Tamborine Mountain, Queensland.

Price is for 1 cup- which has its own special personality.

Polished and silky smooth porcelain inside and out- but with some extra bumps and rocks. Finished with Liquid Quartz ceramic sealer.

Fired to cone 10 which offers superior translucency, whiteness and strength.
Recommendation is to hand wash for a long & happy life.
SIZE: approx 9cm wide 7cm high

I will ship orders within 4 days of receiving the payment. They will be well packaged and sent by Australia Post. Tracking number provided via email.

N.B. Due to extreme postage delays, shipping will only be available to Australia, USA, Singapore and N.Z. while current world wide events effect delivery times. Parcels are estimated to arrive in 15-20 business days using express postage. I apologise for the added expense. Australia Post provides insurance up to AUS$100 plus cost of delivery on each parcel.

Care Instructions

All of my ceramic pieces sold are useable and made to store liquids. The body of each piece is made using one of Australia's finest porcelains, fired to 1280oC and fully vitrified.

Due to the nature of combining various stoneware, raw minerals and porcelain clays, your work may have some very superficial (thin and only surface deep) spilts on the outside. This does not change the function of the work. If your cup/vessel leaks, of course please contact me, however, all cups are checked and tested before sale.

If your ceramic piece has not been glazed, rather has a polished finish, I have applied Liquid Quartz ceramic sealer, which is a food safe, permeating sealer designed for use on unglazed ceramic ware. Please visit https://madeofaustralia.com/liquid-quartz/ for more information about this product.

Due to the thin walls of your porcelain piece, please be mindful that hot liquids will be hot to touch if in a porcelain cup. Careful hand washing of your ceramic ware is advised.
